Looking for a hair and makeup artist for your wedding at Tutbury Castle – well I just might be it! Read on to see inside the upcoming wedding venue that I exhibited at for a wedding fair in September…
On the 13th September, I had the pleasure of attending a wedding fair at Tutbury Castle – a venue close to my heart as it’s in the village I live in! Since I have lived in Tutbury, the castle has been closed. So when I heard that Bespoke Inns had taken the castle under their wing and it was opening for weddings from 2027, I was very excited! I haven’t done a wedding fair since 2022 (soon after I started in the wedding industry) but I was so passionate about the restoration of this gorgeous venue that I HAD to get involved!
The fair was organised by the lovely ladies at The Wedding Assembly and was an amazing event with lots of other lovely wedding suppliers. I met so many amazing brides and have already booked my first wedding for October 2027 at the castle! The plans that Bespoke Inns have for the castle are really exciting – a glass atrium, glamping pod accommodation, a moat walk and a bridal dressing room and suite. For me, I was super excited by the amount of light from the gorgeous windows in the dressing room – a makeup artist MUST-HAVE! The space in the dressing room will be brilliant, us makeup artist like a good amount of space to work with. Although work on the site is at the very beginning, the proposed finished look will be fabulous!
The exciting thing for any engaged couples, is that the castle is currently offering 50% bookings for next year. So you could bag yourself an absolute steal whilst getting married in the most beautiful setting. On the day of the wedding fair, the sun came out, creating the most beautiful shadows and silhouettes of the castle ruins – just stunning! The photo opportunities are endless! We walked up to the turret ruins and got this amazing shot below.
